In Georgia, a lonely stone church stands on a green hill with the snow-capped Caucasus behind it – and you have the view almost to yourself. Down in Tbilisi, colourful wooden balconies hang over cobbled lanes and the smell of fresh bread drifts from clay ovens.

Georgia visa for Indians
Most Indians apply for Georgia’s e-Visa online (allow at least five working days, more in peak season). Indians holding a valid visa or residence permit from the US, UK, Schengen area and several other countries can enter visa-free for short stays. Georgia also requires travel insurance for visitors – we include it in our packages.
A 6-night itinerary
- Tbilisi (3 nights): the old town and sulphur baths, Narikala Fortress by cable car, the Bridge of Peace and a day trip to Mtskheta, Georgia’s ancient capital.
- Kazbegi / Gudauri (2 nights): the drive along the Georgian Military Highway, Ananuri fortress, and the famous Gergeti Trinity Church below Mount Kazbek.
- Tbilisi (1 night): shopping, a cooking class or a wine-region day trip to Kakheti.
Georgia is the trip your friends have not done yet – and will ask you about for months.
When to go
May to October is ideal for green valleys and mountain drives. December to March brings deep snow to Gudauri – one of the most affordable ski and snow holidays for Indian families. Autumn adds the wine harvest and golden colours.
