Baku is where a medieval walled city sits next to glass towers that look like flames – and at night they really do glow like fire. Add snowy Shahdag, the green hills of Gabala and the Caspian Sea breeze, and you see why Indian travellers are falling for it.

Azerbaijan e-Visa for Indians
Indians apply online for Azerbaijan’s ASAN e-Visa on the official government portal. It allows a single entry with a stay of up to 30 days; standard processing takes about three working days, and an urgent option is available. No embassy visit is needed – we handle the application with your booking.
A 5-night itinerary
- Baku (3 nights): the UNESCO-listed Old City and Maiden Tower, the Flame Towers, the Heydar Aliyev Centre, the seaside boulevard, and a half-day to Gobustan’s mud volcanoes and rock art.
- Gabala or Shahdag (2 nights): mountain cable cars, forest lakes and, in winter, skiing and snow at Shahdag.
Baku feels like Europe at a fraction of the effort – a quick e-Visa and you are there.
When to go
April to June and September to October are mild and lovely for walking. Summer is warm and lively by the sea. December to February is cold but brings snow in the mountains – popular with Indian families wanting a snow holiday close to home.
