Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Auckland - Explorer Bus - 48 Hour Hop On/Hop Off Pass

Kia Ora! Welcome to New Zealand, the youngest country on Earth! On arrival in Auckland, 'The City of Sails', you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Auckland is a blend of islands, Polynesian culture, glistening harbours and modern city environment. The rest of the day is at leisure for you to explore the city and discover why it is one of the best places in the world to visit.

See Auckland’s major sights and attractions with a hop-on hop-off city bus tour. Perfect for first-time visitors to Auckland, it’s a great way to explore the city. Enjoy the flexibility of a 1-day or 2-day pass, and hop off at key points, such as Parnell Village, Auckland Museum, or the Sky Tower, at your leisure. Stay on the bus for the loop or hop off to visit Auckland attractions

Day 2: Hobbiton Movie Set and Buffet Lunch - Auckland to Rotorua

Take a guided tour of the famous Hobbiton Movie set, located inside a picturesque 1,250-acre sheep and beef farm near Matamata. Here, the village of Hobbiton was carefully created in amazing detail as a film location for the Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit movie trilogies. During your guided tour of this amazing location, you will see sights like Hobbit Holes. The Mil, and the Green Dragon Inn, and learn how farmland was transformed into a living, breathing piece of Middle-Earth. After exploring Hobbiton, tuck into a delicious lunch in the Party Marquee. Then finish the tour with a coach ride down to Rotorua

Day 3: Te Po Combo - Guided Experience & Indigenous Evening Experience

An evening of culture, kai, and connection begins at 4:00pm with the Te Pō Combo, offering a fully guided journey through the geothermal valley, followed by dinner and a cultural performance designed to immerse you in Māori traditions.

Start with a guided exploration of the valley, where you’ll discover native bush, bubbling mud pools, and powerful geysers, including Pōhutu Geyser—the largest active geyser in the Southern Hemisphere. Along the way, visit the Kiwi Conservation Centre and the New Zealand Māori Arts and Crafts Institute to gain deeper insight into conservation and traditional Māori craftsmanship.

After your tour, enjoy a buffet dinner at Pātaka Kai Restaurant & Bar overlooking the geothermal landscape, featuring fresh local produce, traditionally prepared meats and vegetables, kai moana (seafood), and desserts.

The evening continues in Te Aronui a Rua meeting house with a captivating cultural performance including a pōhiri (welcome), waiata (song), mōteatea (chant), poi, and haka. Conclude your experience with a relaxed stroll back through the geothermal valley while enjoying a warm hot chocolate. This experience runs for approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes and is suitable for all ages

Day 4: Transfer from Rotorua to Auckland

Today after breakfast, check-out from your hotel and hit the road to Auckland. Upon reaching Auckland, check-in to your hotel. Rest of the day is free for you to explore Auckland on your own.

Day 5: Departure from Auckland

This morning check-out from your hotel. You will be transferred to the airport to catch your flight back home. Your tour ends with happy memories.
