Overview
Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is Uganda's smallest national park, yet together with Bwindi it protects more than half of the world's mountain gorillas. Its bamboo forests are also home to the shy golden monkey, which shares the volcano slopes with the silverback gorillas – which is why Mgahinga is known as the place where gold meets silver., This safari combines a gorilla trek, with your permit included, and golden monkey tracking with an interactive Batwa cultural trail, where the forest's first people share their hunting skills, fire-making, herbal knowledge and crafts. The journey home includes a stop at the Equator and a visit to the royal drum makers of Mpigi.
