Victoria Falls, known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya, the smoke that thunders, is one of the great natural wonders of the world, where the Zambezi River plunges into a deep gorge on the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia. Many of the finest views are found on the Zimbabwean side, through a rainforest kept green by the falls' constant spray., This easy short break combines a guided walk along the falls, a sunset cruise on the Zambezi with a chance to see hippos, crocodiles and elephants, and a lively Boma dinner with traditional food, music and dance, with meals as per the itinerary at your hotel.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Victoria Falls – Zambezi Sunset Cruise

On arrival at Victoria Falls Airport, complete immigration formalities and meet your driver outside the arrivals area for your transfer to the hotel. Lunch is served at the hotel restaurant, and the afternoon is at leisure.

Later, transfer to the Zambezi River for a two-hour sunset cruise. Relax on board as birds skim the water and the African sunset colours the sky, with a good chance of seeing hippos, crocodiles and elephants. Drinks and snacks are served in limited quantities; extras are at your own cost. Return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 2: Day at Leisure – Boma Dinner Experience

Breakfast at the hotel, then the day is free for you to relax or explore, with lunch at the hotel restaurant.

In the evening, transfer to the Boma restaurant, where you are dressed in traditional chitenge cloth and take part in a hand-washing ceremony before enjoying local beers and snacks. A four-course buffet caters for every taste, including vegetarian dishes, while traditional dancers, singers and storytellers keep the evening lively. Return to your hotel afterwards.

Day 3: Guided Tour of Victoria Falls

After breakfast, transfer to the entrance of the Victoria Falls for a three-hour guided tour. Walk through the unique rainforest created by the constant spray of the falls, discovering its plants and birdlife, and pause at the viewpoints to take in the sheer scale of the falls. The falls are at full flow from about April to August, and raincoats can be hired if you prefer not to get soaked.

Return to the hotel, where the rest of the day is at leisure, with lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant.
