Lions, buffalo, leopards and spotted hyenas roam its teak forests, mopane woodlands and open plains, alongside giraffes, zebras and a rich variety of Kalahari birdlife., Your stay at the falls includes a Zambezi sunset cruise, a guided walk through the rainforest at the falls and a festive Boma dinner. In Hwange, a walking safari and game drive with professional guides bring you close to the wildlife, and a visit to a traditional village offers a glimpse of local life and crafts.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Victoria Falls – Zambezi Sunset Cruise

On arrival at Victoria Falls Airport, complete immigration formalities and meet your driver outside the arrivals area for your transfer to the hotel. Lunch is served at the hotel restaurant, and the afternoon is at leisure.

Later, transfer to the Zambezi River for a two-hour sunset cruise. Relax on board as birds skim the water and the African sunset colours the sky, with a good chance of seeing hippos, crocodiles and elephants. Drinks and snacks are served in limited quantities; extras are at your own cost. Return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 2: Day at Leisure – Boma Dinner Experience

Breakfast at the hotel, then the day is free for you to relax or explore, with lunch at the hotel restaurant.

In the evening, transfer to the Boma restaurant, where you are dressed in traditional chitenge cloth and take part in a hand-washing ceremony before enjoying local beers and snacks. A four-course buffet caters for every taste, including vegetarian dishes, while traditional dancers, singers and storytellers keep the evening lively. Return to your hotel afterwards.

Day 3: Guided Tour of Victoria Falls

After breakfast, transfer to the entrance of the Victoria Falls for a three-hour guided tour. Walk through the unique rainforest created by the constant spray of the falls, discovering its plants and birdlife, and pause at the viewpoints to take in the sheer scale of the falls. The falls are at full flow from about April to August, and raincoats can be hired if you prefer not to get soaked.

Return to the hotel, where the rest of the day is at leisure, with lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant.

Day 4: Victoria Falls – Hwange

After breakfast, transfer to your hotel in Hwange. Check in, enjoy lunch at the hotel restaurant and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 5: Hwange Walking Safari, Game Drive & Village Visit

After an early breakfast, transfer to Hwange for a walking safari followed by a game drive. Teak forests, mopane woodlands and open plains support a wide variety of wildlife, including lions, buffalo, leopards, spotted hyenas and large elephant herds, as well as Kalahari birds such as the kori bustard and crimson-breasted shrike.

Return to the hotel for lunch, then visit a nearby village to see traditional homesteads, learn about local customs and browse arts and crafts whose sale supports local families. Return to the hotel for dinner.
