Overview

This week-long adventure explores the wild west coast of Madagascar, between the seaside town of Morondava and the Tsingy de Bemaraha, a UNESCO World Heritage Site of extraordinary limestone pinnacles. Mighty rivers such as the Tsiribihina and the Manambolo cut through the plateaus on their way to the Mozambique Channel, and across the wooded savannah the baobab is king., Travelling by four by four with your own guide, you cross the rivers by ferry, linger at the famous Avenue of the Baobabs at sunset and spend two full days discovering the Tsingy, home to lemurs, reptiles and some of the world's smallest chameleons. The trip ends with a peaceful day by the sea in Morondava, with its lagoon, mangroves and fishing villages.
