Overview

Swap city noise for mountain air on this 5-day nature escape in central Taiwan. Cruise the calm waters of Sun Moon Lake, visit Wenwu Temple and the Thao tribal village of Ita Thao, then head into the highlands to Qingjing Farm, the 'Little Switzerland of Taiwan', and Fushoushan Farm with its orchards and flower fields at over 1,800 metres. End in Taipei with Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, Taipei 101 and Ximen. A relaxed, no-shopping tour for nature lovers, families and wellness groups.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival – Transfer to Taichung & Fengchia Night Market

Arrive at Taoyuan International Airport and meet your local guide. Drive to Taichung and spend the evening at Fengchia Night Market, one of Taiwan's largest, with endless street food and fashion stalls. Overnight in Taichung.

Day 2: Sun Moon Lake, Wenwu Temple & Ita Thao Pier

After breakfast, drive to Nantou and Sun Moon Lake, Taiwan's most famous alpine lake. Visit Wenwu Temple, dedicated to the gods of literature and martial arts, and enjoy free time at Ita Thao Pier to taste local snacks and discover Thao tribal culture. Overnight in Nantou. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 3: Qingjing Farm & Fushoushan Farm

Head into the mountains to Qingjing Farm, the 'Little Switzerland of Taiwan', with green meadows, cool air and sheep shows. Continue to Fushoushan Farm in Lishan, a high-altitude farm at 1,800–2,300 metres known for its orchards and flower fields. Overnight in Nantou. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 4: Taipei – Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, Taipei 101 & Ximen

Drive back to Taipei and visit Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, Taipei 101 (observatory ticket optional) and the lively Ximen district. Overnight in Taipei. Breakfast and lunch included.

Day 5: Pineapple Cake Workshop, Gloria Outlets & Departure

After breakfast, make your own pineapple cakes at a DIY workshop and shop at Gloria Outlets before your transfer to Taoyuan Airport for your flight home.
