Two great capitals come together on this guaranteed-departure escorted tour, travelling by coach with an English-speaking guide. In London, a locally guided tour takes in the Houses of Parliament, the River Thames, the Tower of London and Buckingham Palace with the Changing of the Guard (season permitting), followed by an evening in lively Soho, a visit to the British Museum and time at Camden's famous street markets., Crossing the Channel by ferry from Dover, you stop in Bruges, the charming canal city of Flanders, before arriving in Paris. Here you visit the Palace of Versailles, ride the funicular up to Montmartre, enjoy a guided panoramic city tour, go up to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower and cruise along the River Seine. Buffet breakfast is included every day.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in London

Welcome to London! On arrival at the airport, you are met and transferred to your hotel. Later, your guide will give an overview of the tour, or you can check the information panels in the hotel reception area.

Day 2: London City Tour & Evening in Soho

Get to know London on a locally guided tour featuring style, culture and history. See the Houses of Parliament, the River Thames, the Tower of London and Buckingham Palace, where you can watch the famous Changing of the Guard (depending on the season). The afternoon is at leisure.

In the evening, take a walk through Leicester Square, Chinatown and Soho, with their lively atmosphere, theatres and entertainment and plenty of restaurants to choose from. Return to the hotel.

Day 3: British Museum & Camden

After breakfast, visit the British Museum, one of the oldest museums in the world. At lunchtime, transfer to Camden, a district famous for one of London's most varied and colourful street markets. Enjoy free time afterwards.

Day 4: London – Dover Ferry – Bruges – Paris

Leave London early in the morning for the continent. From Dover, take the ferry to France and continue to Belgium to discover Bruges, a charming Flemish city of canals. Afterwards, continue to Paris, arriving at the end of the day.

Day 5: Versailles, Montmartre & Paris City Tour

Early in the morning, leave for Versailles, the immense palace of the kings of France. Return to Paris at lunchtime with a transfer to Montmartre, where a funicular takes you up the hill for a spectacular view over Paris. This neighbourhood is known for its painters, artists and cabarets – a lovely place to sit down for lunch.

Then enjoy a scenic guided tour of the history, grand boulevards and breathtaking monuments of Paris before returning to the hotel.

Day 6: Eiffel Tower & Seine Cruise

Head to the centre of Paris, starting at the Eiffel Tower, where you go up to the second floor of this remarkable iron monument (ticket included). Then enjoy a boat cruise along the River Seine, which divides the north of Paris from the south. The afternoon is free to explore as you choose.

Day 7: Departure from Paris

After breakfast, tour services end. Depart for your onward journey.
