Combine Namibia's Atlantic coast with its legendary red dunes on this private guided journey. From Windhoek you cross the desert to Swakopmund, the country's adventure playground, where beach sunsets are spectacular and the days can be filled with living desert tours, kayaking on the Walvis Bay lagoon, quad biking, sandboarding or even skydiving., A scenic gravel road then carries you south through breathtaking desert scenery to Sossusvlei. Here you explore the dune fields and Dead Vlei, climbing some of the tallest sand dunes on the planet and finishing with a sunset dune drive, before returning to Windhoek for your final night.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Windhoek

Welcome to Windhoek, Namibia. After passport and immigration formalities at Hosea Kutako International Airport, meet your driver outside arrivals and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Overnight: Windhoek

Day 2: Windhoek – Swakopmund

After breakfast, drive roughly three hundred and fifty kilometres across the desert to Swakopmund, the activity playground of Namibia. Settle in at the hotel and take a long stroll along the beach, famous for its incredible sunsets.

Overnight: Swakopmund

Day 3: Swakopmund at Leisure

After breakfast, explore the town. Swakopmund is Namibia's adventure capital, with excursions ranging from living desert tours and kayaking in the Walvis Bay lagoon to quad biking and skydiving. End the day at one of its popular restaurants.

Day 4: Swakopmund – Sossusvlei

After an early buffet breakfast, set off on the gravel road towards the exquisite desert scenery around Sossusvlei, roughly four hundred kilometres away, soaking in the breathtaking landscapes along the way. Dinner at the lodge.

Day 5: Sossusvlei & Dead Vlei

After an early breakfast at the lodge, enjoy a relaxed day in the famed dune area around Sossusvlei and Dead Vlei, known for huge red dunes that are among the world's tallest. Climbing the dunes is the highlight of the day, which concludes with a sunset dune drive. Dinner at the lodge.

Day 6: Sossusvlei – Windhoek

After a leisurely breakfast, make your way back to Windhoek for a restful final night.

Day 7: Departure from Windhoek

After an early breakfast, transfer to Hosea Kutako International Airport, about forty kilometres from the city, for your departure.
