Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Copenhagen

Welcome to Denmark - The Land of Light! On arrival in Copenhagen, you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel. This city was once a humble fishing village, but today it is the glittering capital of the Danish empire. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore Copenhagen.

Day 2: Copenhagen Hop-On Hop-Off by City Sightseeing - 72 Hour Ticket - All Routes

Day 3: Copenhagen Canal Cruise

Experience Copenhagen from the water on a canal cruise and see how the past and present merge as you travel along idyllic canals, passing many of the city’s most famous landmarks, old and new. Depart from Nyhavn before navigating some of the city’s many waterways. Admire the palaces of Christiansburg and Amalienborg, see the sights of the Nyhavn waterfront, and marvel at the financial centers, such as the Central Bank and the former Copenhagen Stock Exchange. Cruise past the Little Mermaid statue in Langelinie as your tour guide tells the history of the statue and other landmarks and buildings you pass. Afterward, return to Nyhavn. Commentaries are available in Danish and English, as well as an additional 3rd language on request.

Day 4: Royal Castle Tour (Roskilde, Frederiksborg & Kronborg Day Tour) - Sharing Basis

Take a sightseeing tour to 3 spectacular castles north of Copenhagen. We leave Copenhagen and travel up the Riviera Road to Helsingør. As we travel along, we have a beautiful view of the Oresund Strait with the Swedish coast beyond. Kronborg Castle, known as Elsinore in English, stands at the seaward approach to the Oresund Strait. Its one of northern Europe's best preserved Renaissance castles and the most renowned Danish castle, made famous worldwide by William Shakespeare’s Hamlet. It is listed as an UNESCO World Heritage site. Frederiksborg Castle, is where you will risk losing your breath by the castle’s splendor. It is as fantastic on the inside as on the outside with its stunning and beautiful interior and remarkable gardens. It houses impressing chambers from the astonishing Marble Gallery to the Banquet Hall. The unrivalled Renaissance castle was built by the legendary Danish King Christian IV and incorporates the best of Renaissance architecture and craftsmanship. There will also be a photo stop at Royal family's summer residence Fredensborg Palace. The English-speaking host will be on board with you the entire tour and guide you through the castle. On board the bus an 6 language audio guide will give you a better insight into the Danish history, the sights you pass and the culture of the Danish people. During the tour you can buy lunch and beverages. Please be aware there is a lot of walking on uneven surfaces and stairs during the tour. Remember practical shoes.

Day 5: Departure from Copenhagen

This morning check-out from your hotel. You will be transferred to the airport in time to catch your onward flight.
