You are met at your hotel or at Entebbe International Airport by our representative, who will welcome you and help with arrival formalities before your gorilla safari begins.
Drive south-west to the Bwindi region. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park lies on the edge of the Rift Valley, its mist-covered hillsides blanketed by one of Uganda's oldest and most biologically diverse rainforests, home to almost four hundred plant species and roughly half of the world's mountain gorillas, including several habituated groups that can be tracked. The forest also shelters many other mammals, including baboons, chimpanzees, elephants and antelopes, and around three hundred and fifty bird species.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking Experience
After an early breakfast, head to the starting point for a briefing on your gorilla trek, then set off with experienced trackers from the spot where the gorillas were last seen the day before.
The hike can be physically demanding, but the beauty of the forest and the anticipation of meeting these gentle apes make it one of Africa's great highlights. You are allowed an hour with the gorillas, standing just metres away as they feed, rest, play and bond with their young, before walking back down to your lodge.
Remember to carry rain gear, your packed lunch, plenty of water, gloves, a hat and a waterproof bag for your camera.
