Day 1: Airport to hotel in Copenhagen

Enjoy the comfort of direct transfer upon arrival! Once you reach Copenhagen International Airport, board the vehicle to your hotel in Copenhagen City Center.

You will be guided by a representative at the time of the handover of your train tickets. Note: Second class train ticket included. In a holiday package, the train timings will be booked as per the schedule that suits you. In Scandinavia, all trains that run on particular routes are not direct. You might be required to board the next train from the same or a different platform, depending on the route. The train station for each route is fixed by train authorities based on seasonality.

Start with a panoramic sightseeing admiring the City Hall, Akershus Castle and Fortress, the Opera House, the Royal Palace, while learning about the city's history from your enthusiastic guide. We wander the fortress complex, covering Bergen’s medieval history and short period as Norway's capital. After this crash course in Norwegian history, we make our way to Bryggen, Bergen’s UNESCO Site. Here, you learn about 1,000 years of trade history and the reason for Bergen’s founding and growth. The second half of our tour is about life in Bergen. We leave the ‘touristy’ part behind and wander into the neighbourhood surrounding Bryggen. As you explore Bergen’s best kept secret, you’ll learn about everyday life. The tour ends by passing by our top picks for restaurants. We consider this a moderate walk with stairs. Day 9: Departure from Bergen
