A 5-night Ladakh road trip through some of the world's highest landscapes. Explore Leh's monasteries and palace, drive over high passes to Nubra Valley and the remote village of Turtuk, and visit the stunning blue Pangong Lake. Includes hotels, daily breakfast and dinner, transfers, sightseeing and inner line permits.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Leh & Half Day Sightseeing

Arrive at Leh airport, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Rest for the first few hours to acclimatise to the high altitude. In the evening, head out for a half-day sightseeing of Leh, exploring the bustling Main Bazaar and the Old Town (Khar-Yog area), the cultural and commercial heart of Leh with traditional crafts, regional food and local life. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 2: Leh Sightseeing – Sangam, Hall of Fame & Magnetic Hill

After breakfast, drive to Sangam Point near Nimmu village (about 35 km from Leh), where the turquoise Indus meets the muddy Zanskar river in a striking colour contrast. River rafting can be done here (at your own cost). On the way back, visit Spituk Monastery and the Hall of Fame, a museum and memorial dedicated to the Indian Army (tickets extra). Continue to Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, built in memory of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, and then to the famous Magnetic Hill, where vehicles appear to roll uphill due to an optical illusion. An ATV ride is available here at extra cost. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 3: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La

After breakfast, drive over Khardung La, one of the world's highest motorable passes at 5,359 metres, with breathtaking views of the Himalayas. Descend into Nubra Valley and visit Diskit Monastery, then continue to Hunder, known for its sand dunes set against snow-capped mountains and its rare double-humped Bactrian camels. Overnight stay in Nubra Valley.

Day 4: Nubra Valley – Excursion to Turtuk

After breakfast, drive to Turtuk, a unique off-the-beaten-path village close to the Line of Control, known for its Balti culture, apricot orchards and stunning scenery. In the evening, visit the war memorial dedicated to the soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces. Overnight stay in Nubra Valley.

Day 5: Nubra – Pangong Lake – Leh

After breakfast, check out and drive to the stunning Pangong Lake, famous for its changing shades of blue and featured in the movie 3 Idiots. After spending time at the lake, drive back to Leh via Chang La pass (5,360 metres), one of the highest motorable passes in the world, with stops at monasteries en route. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 6: Departure from Leh

The morning is free until your flight. You will be dropped at Leh airport (about 30 minutes' drive) 3 hours before your flight time. Your Ladakh journey ends with memories of a lifetime.
